The Fate of the Furious Review

Given that The Fate of the Furious is the eighth entry in the surprisingly enduring Fast & Furious franchise, we all know what to expect from a Fast film by now: muscular men in muscle shirts driving muscle cars, scantily clad women cheering them on, increasingly outrageous action set-pieces and, most important of all, family. As much as the series’ focus has shifted from street racing toward grand-scale heists and globe-trotting espionage, it has also doubled down on its focus on the family at the centre of it all. Familial themes powered both Fast & Furious 6 and Furious 7 and are once again integral here, with one particularly juicy hook: fiercely loyal patriarch Dom Torretto (Vin Diesel) has turned on his makeshift family.

Fast & Furious 7 Review

Beginning life as a humble rejig of Point Break for the street-racing world before eventually morphing into a huge, unwieldy, action movie behemoth, the Fast & Furious franchise has been on a long, strange journey in the 14 years since it began. The tragic real-life twist of star Paul Walker's death late in 2013 left the franchise in a state of flux but with the use of Walker's younger brothers and some slick CGI, latest instalment Fast & Furious 7 has made it to cinemas and it's a fitting tribute to its fallen star.

Fast & Furious 6 Review

The trajectory of the Fast & Furious franchise is almost inconceivable. Starting all the way back in 2001 with The Fast & The Furious, the series looked to be running out of gas pretty quickly with dismal sequels 2 Fast 2 Furious and seemingly unrelated Tokyo Drift signalling a steady decline in box office receipts.

Final Fast & Furious 6 Trailer

Due for release in only a couple of weeks, the sixth instalment of the Fast & Furious franchise got a new - and supposedly final - trailer today. Fast & Furious 6 sees the return of Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson), this time hot in pursuit of a master criminal Owen Shaw (Luke Evans) in London.
